Tinker Bell (sometimes spelled Tinkerbell, also known as Tink for short), is a fictional character from J. M. Barrie's 1904 play and 1911 novel Peter and Wendy.

She has appeared in multiple film and television adaptations of the Peter Pan stories, in particular the 1953 animated Walt Disney picture Peter Pan.

She also appears in the official sequel Peter Pan in Scarlet by Geraldine McCaughrean and commissioned by Great Ormond St Hospital as well as the "Peter and the Starcatchers" book series by Ridley Pearson and Dave Barry.

At first only a supporting character described by her creator as "a common fairy," her animated incarnation was a hit and has since become a widely recognized unofficial mascot of The Walt Disney Company and the centerpiece of its Disney Fairies media franchise including the direct-to-DVD film Tinker Bell. In her animated form she leaves a trail of twinkling pixie dust. ....

In December 2014 there was a live version of Peter Pan shown on NBC television. Christopher Walken was Captain Hook.

Peter Pan was played by Allison Williams, daughter of Brian Williams, anchor of NBC Nightly News.

Among the other actors was  Alanna Saunders as Tiger Lily and Minnie Driver as Narrator/Adult Wendy Darling.

Early in the year rumors circulated that Miley Cyrus might play Tinkerbell, but Cyrus put an end to the rumors herself.

In the end, production also used a computer-generated CGI version of Tinker Bell, which was controlled live by a technician.

The J. M. Barrie play had been adapted for modern audiences so it was said.

On September 21, 2010, Tinker Bell was presented with the 2,418th star on the Hollywood Walk of Fame.

Did you know that there were so many fictional characters on the Hollywood stars walk? Tinkerbell was the thirteenth character and the sixth Disney character to receive this honor. [Wikipedia]

Tinkerbell Costumes for Adults, Teens, Kids
Some of them are Tutu Costumes, some are official Disney licensed. Others are the adult sexy Tinkerbell and those fashioned after movies like Hook with Julia Roberts and Robin Williams.

Keira Knightley was Tinker Bell on the 2011 Neverland fantasy miniseries that aired on the Syfy network. They're available on Amazon.

How would you make your own Tinker Bell costume? What colors would it be? Accessories such as headpieces, wings, jewelry and wands are sold separately. You and your children can also make them yourself for one-of-a-kind items, too. It was suggested that for Tinkerbell pixie dust kids use paper confetti or bird seed outside. Throwing things such as glitter can be dangerous. It's up to the caretaker.

Lots of children like to dress as fairies and pixies. Think of having a Tinkerbell party, children can create their own wands. You can play your favorite movie and have them write a story featuring Tinkerbell. What would you serve?

Winnie-the-Pooh is a fictional bear created by A. A. Milne. The first collection of stories about
the character was the book Winnie-the-Pooh (1926), and this was followed by The House at Pooh Corner (1928).

Milne also included a poem about the bear in the children's verse book When We Were Very Young (1924) and many more in Now We Are Six (1927). All four volumes were illustrated by E. H. Shepard.

The hyphens in the character's name were later dropped when The Walt Disney Company adapted the Pooh stories into a series of Winnie the Pooh featurettes that became one of the company's most successful franchises worldwide.

It's said that British police officers carry teddy bears in their cars. The bears help to comfort kids who have been in accidents.

The Pooh stories have been translated into many languages, including Alexander Lenard's Latin translation, Winnie ille Pu, which was first published in 1958, and, in 1960, became the only Latin book ever to have been featured on the New York Times Best Seller List.

One of the best things about the Hollywood Star Walk is that you're getting exercise without even realizing it. Choose an area of town that you wanted to visit regardless. Discover some unfamiliar names and Google them as you go. Or map out an area by checking out the stars of your favorites.

What's your favorite movie featuring Tinker Bell? Tinker Bell and the Great Fairy Rescue is just one of the films that can be streamed anytime through Amazon Prime or purchased on DVD.

Though not the first of the screwball characters that became popular in the 1940s, Woody is perhaps the most indicative of the type.

Woody was created in 1940 by storyboard artist Ben "Bugs" Hardaway, who had previously laid the groundwork for two other screwball characters, Bugs Bunny and Daffy Duck, at the Warner Bros. cartoon studio in the late 1930s.

Woody's character and design would evolve over the years, from an insane bird with an unusually garish design to a more refined looking and acting character in the vein of the later Chuck Jones version of Bugs Bunny.

Woody was originally voiced by prolific voice actor Mel Blanc, who was succeeded by Ben Hardaway and later by Grace Stafford, wife of Walter Lantz.
