When you're off to slay vampires, carrying your stuff in a fashionable way can be a problem. 

The Buffy B and Mr Pointy Red Messenger Bag, with hand embroidery available at TiLTcreations on Etsy, is a perfect way to be fashionable and functional no matter how many hours you put in. 

Some of TiLTcreations' bags and clutches may be used with your seasonal outfits. Her designs are varied, with clever shapes and sizes to make the browser think, "Whoa, I could carry my [fill in the blank] in that bag." 

The Painted Tree Tan Mini Duffel Bag, for instance is 21 inches long. Many traveling artists and crafters, teachers and students, could fill a bag like this with supplies. 

I've been to classes where part of the time is spent ogling the bags & cases people have to tote around their projects and supplies!

An Etsy shop for destash patterns, fabric and supplies called Tilttoo is also open. 

I got a kick out of the banglets. This was the first time I've seen them, and I like the name.

NicoDesigns: Where it's always the season for lovebirds

NicoDesigns is a special Etsy shop not only because of the cute and creative items that are sold there. It's also special because a percentage of the profits are donated to The Ronald McDonald House in Temple and to MD Anderson Cancer Hospital in Houston.

Many of our lives have somehow been touched by cancer and by making a purchase at this shop, aside from getting one of her lovely items, you can also be making a bit of a difference in people's lives.

I like her love birds and the pear pincushions crafted from recycled fabrics. They're charming enough to give as gifts and leave out on a shelf.

Gertie, The Obsessed Art Doll made me smile. I like art dolls in general, and at NicoDesigns you'll find some clever ones.

Her blog, also called NicoDesigns, is worth visiting, a clean and informative site with projects and tips.

I particularly liked the information on Japanese patterns. I've got some beautiful Japanese wire and beading books but am not really sure of all the instructions or how to translate them.

Just like in her shop, her blog has an assortment of goodies, and you'll probably enjoy them all.

What if Roald Dahl & Christian Dior made chenille pipe cleaner figures?

I have some old holiday-themed chenille pipe cleaner critters and always thought that they were cute. They're super-lightweight, can be displayed in many different places and they happily blend well with other little ornaments.

There's a nice shop on Etsy called Beckykazana's where you can find her original chenille pipe cleaner figures, known as the Pipettes.

These could be gifts themselves or could grace the outside of a fancy package, too.

There's also artwork, some in the form of greeting cards so you can share with others.

In her second shop, Thefabmissb, she carries unique vintage items. You'll find some nice vintage aprons. There's a show all about vintage aprons that's touring the country right now. The Fab Miss B is the Featured Etsy Blogger for November.

Miesmama: July's featured Etsy Blogger

Many of the pieces in Miesmama's Shop on Etsy remind me of interesting and vibrant Folk Art. She has a good range of items.

As a fan of buttons and the combo of blue and white, these pretty pins (sold separately) caught my eye immediately.

The one on the right is called the Poppy Blue. They look so nice together. She has a wonderful sense of color. You'll enjoy a visit to her shop just to see the assortment of pins and headbands offered.

There are a bunch of other items available, such as felt garlands that could have many uses year-round in your home. The xoxo felt garland is approximately three feet long.

Hugs and Kisses are nice for any time of year. Maybe it's just right for that champion Tic Tac Toe player in your family? :-) This could be sweet for an anniversary dinner, too. I'm not sure which anniversary calls for Felt, so that material is up for grabs any anniversary at all.
